Theory
The Mushroom Management is a management method
used to administer the young and inexperienced. The novice is
placed in the dark corner (unimportant department or do odds
and ends), showered with a heedful of dejection (unreasonable
criticism, blame or carry the can), emerge and perish of itself
(can not get required guidance and promotion). Many people have
the experience of "Mushroom Management", but it is
not for certain a bad thing, especially at the beginning. Several
days of "mushroom" can eliminate many of our unpractical
ideas, let us closer to the reality and handle issues more practically.
For an organization, the
new-comer should be treated equally as others from the beginning
salary and work type. No matter how excellent you are, at the
beginning you should begin from the simplest work. The experience
of "Mushroom" is like cocoon for in-growth youngling,
it is the first step of eclosion. Therefore, how to pass this
period efficiently and learning from it and become mature is
problem for the young people who just step into the society.
10) Ockham's Razor Theory
You are wrong if you think
you can succeed by working like a horse.
The matter always develops towards the complexity, but waste
is caused by complexity and efficiency by simplicity. Most of
the things you have done are meaningless, the truly efficient
activity come from the few things. However the simplest part
is always key and critical and is hidden in the complicated
matters. You can be successful by finding the critical factor
and reducing extra and unimportant activities.
For the company management,
useless department and staff should be removed.
